A copy editor and trainer with 30+ years of experience, and a freelance editor since 2015. Worked with the World Institute of Sustainable Energy, Pune, as Senior Fellow for 10 years; with The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi, in different capacities for 15 years; as Senior Editor for a year with International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, Hyderabad; as a scientist with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for 10 years; and taught plant pathology for 2 years at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, immediately after obtaining a master’s degree in agriculture from the same university.

Dr Joshi is one among only 27 editors who have been awarded the status of Diplomate Editor by the Board of Editors in Life Sciences, USA, for displaying exceptional editorial proficiency. He is also the first non-European to be elected to the council of EASE, the European Association of Science Editors. He has been teaching technical writing at postgraduate level for more than 15 years and holds the Certificate in Advanced English (with A grade) awarded by Cambridge English Language Assessment, Cambridge University.
