A corresponding author is usually the senior author who provides the intellectual input and feedback in a collaborative project. He/she designs and approves the protocols to be followed in the study, apart from handling manuscript correction, proof reading, correspondence during the paper submission, handling the revisions and re-submission of revised manuscripts until they get accepted. It's ironic that something as important as this role doesn't have more attention and better preparation.

This specially created course aims to provide insight into how to be a corresponding author, keeping in mind there is no formal training on the subject. It provides key learnings and background on the roles and responsibilities that a corresponding author needs to master and expert tips on how to get things done right.
