- If you have expertise and experience in research and academic publishing
- If you are a professor, lecturer, PhD, post doc, university faculty, journal editors, etc.
- If you are a blogger, Youtuber, podcaster, author, speaker, coach or consultant for research specific themes
- If you respond to subject specific queries on forums, message boards and social media communities
- If you have short tips, hacks, and guidelines that could help researchers in their research journey
Define your target audience. This will help in making your course content more relevant to the audience.
- Define and establish the learning objectives of the course. These objectives should illustrate the real-life application of concepts learners will gain from the course.
- Create a course outline. Adult learners often find it much easier to assimilate information if a visual cue is presented in a structured manner.
- Make the course content educational. Aim to make it a comprehensive and detailed session by identifying gaps.
- Try to build a narrative by telling a story through the course. Sharing experiences and insights will help connect with the learners better.
- Wherever possible, illustrate with the help of examples.
- Use simple language and easy-to-understand phrases.
- Create a 10-question quiz (minimum 10) to assess learning.
- Course length should ideally not exceed over an hour. If the course material cannot be condensed in an hour-long session, it is recommended to divide course content into 2 parts.
