Introduction to Systematic Review

A thorough and detailed review of existing literature on a particular topic is called a systematic review. Typically, designed to address a specific question, it includes a protocol that defines the study design, objectives, and expected outcomes. Systematic literature review searches, identifies and synthesizes research evidence relevant to the question using methodology. This needs to be explicit and reproducible so it leads to minimum bias. Systematic reviews are extremely important while performing secondary research.

This course will cover the basics of how to approach a systematic review and how such a review is typically structured.
